We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our care home team. Requirements

Essential Skills and Qualities
1) Compassionate and patient with a genuine desire to care for others
2) Strong understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and person-centered care
3) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4) Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently or as part of a team
5) Knowledge of moving and handling techniques and infection control procedures

Qualifications and Experience
1)NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards)
2)Previous experience in a care home or similar care setting
3)Training in First Aid, Moving and Handling, Safeguarding Adults, and Food Hygiene preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver personal care, including washing, dressing, and feeding residents
Assist with mobility, transfers, and use of aids and equipment
Support residents with daily routines and social activities to encourage independence
Administer medication under supervision in line with care plans
Maintain accurate and confidential care records and reports
Monitor and report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition
Follow safeguarding and confidentiality protocols
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards within the care setting
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
